Canadian DJ, audio engineer and music/radio producer Denise Fraser, professionally known as DJ Denise, has been generating waves across the music space over the course of her career. A wholly multifaceted music talent, her unique mix of rap, reggae, and dancehall has earned the support of the community.
DJ Denise’s diverse catalog consists of an array of powerful productions as she continues to solidify her place in the realm of rap music and expand in her ever-growing fanbase.
As she continues her sharp upwards trajectory in the Canadian music space with her dexterity and determination to deliver cutting-edge productions, DJ Denise leaves much to be desired with a slew of intriguing releases coming down the line.
When she isn’t opening for Wu-Tang Clan, & The Wailers in Vancouver she enjoys traveling to new cities to discover how community radio works. Also, her passions are Live Sound. Sound Tech for Live events with bands, solo performers, and conferences. DJ Denise has performed at all of the major nightclubs in Vancouver and traveled to Ireland, England, the Netherlands, Us, & many provinces across Canada.
DJ Denise has been hosting & producing 2 radio shows in Vancouver for over 9 years. Circa 2012 Both shows are on Tuesday. QueerFM on CITR Radio citr.ca 101.9fm 8am -10am & Urban Renewal Project on Vancouver Co-op Radio 100.5fm coopradio.org 10pm-12am. Currently syndicated at the University of Manitoba umfm.com Monday 12 am-2 pm MST.
Yearly a showcase is created for Urban Renewal Project celebrating all of the artists who have been on the radio show. Dancers, apparel companies, and food vendors come together for the mini-festival to celebrate another year of working together in Vancouver. DJ Denise uses the experience and knowledge she had gained from community organizing to help others build communities all over North America.
