William Hlesta Daniel Kavuma Taylor (born 09 December 1988), better known by his stage name TYLR_LNDN aka Dirty Dapz (formerly known as Dirty Dappa) is an independent UK rapper and Grime MC signed to his own label GFE Music (stylized GFE Musik). He is best known for his singles “Bang Bang” and “Michael Jackson” released in 2015 and 2016 respectively. His name comes from his belief that God made us from dirt but he made himself dapper.
Early Life
TYLR_LNDN aka Dirty Dapz was born in Kampala, Uganda but moved to London at the age of 1. He was raised by his Ugandan mother in North West London. He also is of Caribbean descent. He grew up listening to artists such as Tupac Shakur, The Notorious B.I.G. and Big L but was inspired to start music in his teens after being introduced to Garage. He produced his first song when he was 14.
Musical Career
TYLR_LNDN aka Dirty Dapz began his career at the age of 14 after joining a group called Musical Mob famed for their hit single “Are You Really From The Ends?”. After leaving Musical Mob at the age of 16 he joined SRE (Skata Records Entertainment) where he gained most of his following. He had 3 music videos released on the British digital satellite TV channel Channel U (now known as Channel AKA). One of the videos, “Da Fact Is”, features Sean Combs who is better known by his stage names Puff Daddy or P Diddy.
After taking a pause from music, he officially resumed his career in 2015 under his own label GFE (“God Fam Entertainment”), releasing videos on his YouTube channel, Spotify and his SoundCloud where he has over 30 videos and 100 songs respectively.
